About This Event
New perspectives for your practice. Real connections with your peers.
Join Psychedelics Today for two days of presentations and conversations about psychedelic research, facilitation, ethics, and care. Hear what practitioners are learning, bring the questions emerging in your own work, and spend time with people who share your curiosity.
Rooted in the Vital community and open to the wider psychedelic field.
November 7–8 · Residence Inn Breckenridge, Colorado
Welcome gathering November 6 · Optional music training November 9–10
Conference early bird: $175
Early bird pricing ends October 5 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time.
The field is still taking shape. A lot of what’s worth knowing right now lives with the people doing the work, well before it shows up in a paper. This is a small gathering built around them: new research, clinical casework, facilitation methods, and time to talk between sessions.
Schedule
Friday, November 6 | Welcome Event
Arrive, settle in, and meet everyone.
Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8 | Vital Conference
Two full days of presentations, panels, and conversation.
Monday and Tuesday, November 9 and 10 | Music for Expanded States
An optional two-day workshop on music as a core facilitation skill.
Who’s Presenting
Everyone on the program is presenting work they’re doing right now. More names coming soon.
Susan Anzalone, MD
Susan is a neurologist at the Colorado MS Center in Denver, board certified with an MS fellowship from UCSF. She’s presenting on ibogaine for multiple sclerosis and what she’s seeing in her own research.
Hayley Mann, RN, and Kevin Thorbahn
Hayley and Kevin created and operate DreamMind Labs. Their work is in extended state DMT, using infusion to hold the state for hours rather than the usual few minutes. Very few people anywhere are doing this.
Court Wing
REMAP Therapeutics and the Psychedelics and Pain Association
Court was a participant in an NYU clinical trial and now works at the intersection of pain and psychedelics as founder of REMAP Therapeutics and the Psychedelics and Pain Association.
Rev. Merrill Ward, Ep. Gn.
Merrill is an ordained gnostic priest, advisor, entheologian, and educator in entheogenic spirituality. His field work over the past 15 years has informed research studies published through Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University.
Azul DelGrasso, PhD
Azul is an ecopsychologist, entheogenic scholar, visual ethnographer, and public health strategist researching 5-MeO-DMT. She speaks on unitive consciousness, ecological identity, and trauma-informed care.
Kalyana Bliss
Trauma specialist, mindfulness teacher, researcher, and Vital graduate based in Maine. She’s a BAMBA-registered MBSR teacher and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and recently completed her MSc with a systematic review of trials combining mindfulness programs and psychedelics. With Kate Ensor she is co-founding Vibrant Depths, a trauma-sensitive psilocybin retreat for women in the Netherlands.
Emily Wisdom, MS
Wisdom Mind & Body and the Small Business Development Center
Vital graduate and coach working where business, personal transformation, and holistic well-being meet.
Your Hosts
Kyle Buller, MS
Co-founder of Psychedelics Today and creator of Vital. Kyle also works as a therapist on a psilocybin clinical trial.
Joe Moore
Co-founder and CEO of Psychedelics Today, co-founder of Vital, and a founding board member of the Psychedelics and Pain Association.
Who’s Coming
Vital students and alumni
Meet your cohort in person, some of you for the first time. Spend the weekend with Vital faculty and fellow graduates, and apply to present your own work.
Psychedelics Today listeners
Come meet Kyle and Joe off the mic, and spend a weekend in conversation with people working across the field. Small enough that you’ll actually get to talk.
Colorado practitioners
Colorado is building its natural medicine field in real time. Licensed facilitators, clinicians, integration providers, harm reduction workers: this is two days with peers comparing notes on what’s working. It’s an easy drive from Denver and the Front Range.
Breckenridge and Summit County locals
No flight, no hotel. Come to Friday’s welcome event, sleep in your own bed, and drive in for the conference days.
Music for Expanded States | November 9 and 10
Led by Joe Moore and Kyle Buller, with Matthew McDonald of Perpetual Groove and Somnal.
Music shapes the arc of a session. It carries emotion, holds people through the hard stretches, and helps them land afterward. Most practitioners pick it up on their own.
This two-day workshop covers:
- How music supports preparation, the session itself, and integration
- Building and sequencing playlists for expanded-state work
- Music in group process and meaning-making
- A skillful, ethically grounded approach to music in facilitation and care
For facilitators, clinicians, and practitioners who want music to be a deliberate part of their craft.

Getting Here and Where to Stay
The conference is at the Residence Inn Breckenridge, a short walk from Main Street. Registered attendees get discounted lodging, with details sent after you register. Tickets don’t include lodging or meals.
Breckenridge is about two hours from Denver International Airport and sits at 9,600 feet. Take it easy your first day and drink more water than you think you need. Early November can bring snow, so check I-70 conditions before you drive.
Present Your Work
Vital alumni can apply for a limited number of presentation slots. We’re looking for case studies, field reports, facilitation frameworks, community models, integration approaches, and ethical questions from real practice. The application goes out after you register.
Questions
Do I need to be in Vital to attend?
No. The conference is open to anyone working in or around the psychedelic field. Presenter slots are reserved for Vital alumni.
Can I come to just the music workshop?
Yes. Choose the Music for Expanded States Workshop Only ticket.
Is lodging included?
No. Discounted rates at the Residence Inn are shared after you register.
What if my plans change?
Tickets are refundable, minus processing fees, until October 8. After that, you can transfer your ticket to someone else at any time.
See you in the mountains
Early November in Breckenridge means first snow on the peaks, quiet streets before the ski crowds arrive, and a room full of people who care about this work as much as you do.
Early bird ends October 5.
